Hey, everyone and welcome to this post. I have thought about many things to write about today, and this is what popped out the most. I thought, yes! It is a good idea for me to blog on social media marketing because it goes hand in hand with affiliate marketing, which is also what I do and want to show you at the same time.
You might be a beginner, you may be advanced who knows, I talk to both crews. What I want to show you in this post, is how easy it is to make money with Facebook, what you have missed with using social media as an advertising platform, and how easy you can start using them straight after this post.
Did you know that Facebook is not just a platform where you read lots of posts? Think about how many people use Facebook to search for the things they need or want. If you have a website, business name, and a logo for your business, you can be the one who simply puts the products they want straight in front of them.
Affiliate marketing is being the middleman when it comes to shopping and searching for products or services. Does that sound like something you want to learn more about?
Social Media plays a direct game with blogging (affiliate marketing) because it’s you second advertising platform for a number of different reasons and they are:
- Getting your products to your family and friends first
- Having a direct path to customers instantly
- Talking to people about your online business and being their mentor
How many times do you fall into a conversation with someone and then get their Facebook details? It happens. When you have an online business, the people you talk to can either bump into your business because of that direct link of being Facebook friends or see your business when stalking your profile. That’s the beauty about Facebook, you can add links into your profile and that way people start learning who you really are and if you have an online business then they will also see that.
Lets look at some facts about how popular Facebook really is.
Social Media is the fastest growing vogue in the history of the world. If you can believe it or not, the social media sphere has grown faster than the internet itself.
It was from within the first ten years of being available to the public that it managed to gather roughly 1 billion users. Now, to date, the internet has over 57% of the world’s population using the internet. That’s 4.388 billion users out of 7.676 billion.
Facebook opened up on September 26, 2006, and by the second quarter of 2017 it was receiving over 2 billion monthly active users. That’s just under 10 years, and we are not talking millions, that’s billions.
Facebook and social media are so used by people in today’s day and age that people even take their phones into the shower with them. In some cases they are calling the issue Nomophobia.
As mentioned earlier, Social Media can be used very well in terms of finding or keeping a personal audience up to date. Alongside this, it’s also a path for finding new content from other blogging platforms and websites. When using Facebook and Twitter, you can keep close eyes on what your competition is doing and learn about ways to contend against them.
How many Social Media sites are there?
Here is a list of Social Media websites that you may use:
The list above is the overall of social media platforms that you will most likely be using to your advantage when doing social media marketing.
In social Media Marketing there are 5 core Strengths that you can use to build out your marketing strategies:
- Analytics and Reporting
If you have a successful online business or not, the list above will work and make you more than what you already are. If you social media marketing isn’t working for you the way you would like then keep reading as this post may help you a little more.
Your strategy is the first element to social media marketing that you need to step back and take a look at. Without a strategic and thoughtful plan laid out, you will find yourself paddling on a boat with no paddle. It’s not hard.
What are some of the terms you need to find out what your strategy will be like? Let’s take a look at some:
- The goals you have for your company growth – For this, I would first start by sitting back with a pen and paper. I never did this when I first set out to be a boss. In fact, I failed my first time around because I never sat back and planned out what my goals were. If you map out and plan your techniques well, everything else will be bliss trying to figure them out.
- Determining the Social Media websites that work well for your online business – In this, you will have to go through the list above and work out first, what platforms you feel are going to necessary for your business moving forward. Now, this is an online business, even if your business is land this will come in very good for you.
- Fine tuning your blog content (or) choosing a niche – If your business is not online yet, then you will be able to do that soon. For the businesses that are online, you will have a niche chosen. Construct your content that which pertains to your niche, and then post to social sites for business analysis and brand awareness.
When I first got involved in the world of business it wasn’t online. Actually was roof tiling. I’m an ex-Roof Tiler and I when I started my own business I did not grab that (Such Handy) pen and paper and plan how I was going to perform my strategy. I really believe that this is what led to my failure in that instance and with that company.
If you have a business and want to involve social media, it won’t be as big a deal moving forward; but I do stress it. I mean, if you haven’t used any of it before then for sure planning properly with pen and paper is always the intended thing.
Planning takes time and effort. In any business a plan is always taken and in turn, rehearsed. Being on social media means you will and your brand will dramatically increase your overall existence online.
Being on social media comes to one main element and that is to stay persistent. Whenever you write a new post for your website, in that same turn, post that post to your social platforms. This will come like a natural thing after a while and even so, you will start to get better and better and picking out the ones you only want to post.
Planning content does not mean sharing or creating content spontaneously and then posting it to Facebook. Most pieces should be carefully made because with quality comes perfect intent. When you have planned a piece and want to show people only then continue through to Facebook.
To post content from your website to your Facebook, Twitter, or any other social feeds you will need to use a special tool called Social Sharing buttons. What these are actually powerful pieces of technology that act (or work) as a plugin, and with that same intent they are called a plugin. This is what sets WordPress apart from the rest, they are an open-source platform. If you are using WordPress then you will be able to upload any of your Favorite plugins. Uploading social media plugins means you will be able to share your content to social media.
3. Social Engagement
Being engaged is what social media will help bring to your business. If you have been on social and have never connected to your business that may sound strange. But it does happen. There are many businesses on land that doesn’t have a website. With this, they won’t be able to share their content. That’s why I always tell everyone I meet (nearly) you need a website. Creating a social media marketing small business is not hard, as a matter of fact it is the easiest thing in the world.
The way social engagement will happen is people will directly comment on your post, message you with a DM, or tag you in one of their photos. If you get tagged in a photo you’re one of the lucky ones. Lol.
When you are being contacted on your social account you can reply back to any of the questions. It will most like be about how somebody can benefit from your offer.
When you have your social brand happening and people are interacting, it will then also be time to monitor and watch what they say about your business. This is important because if someone makes something up against your brand then you will want to shut them down as quickly as possible.
4. Reporting and Analytics
The image above sports just one of the many ways that you can keep tabs on the way you niche and marketplace is doing. Of course, you business will want to be having much alternative success and communications first before you need to dive into these statistics. These stats can do many wonderful things for your online business, and some of those are things like working out which content gets the most attention.
This type of reporting is especially great for targeting audiences and making more money by narrowing down the way your business is going.
If you don’t already have an online business then you will just have to do with the people on your private Facebook. But if you do then with both sites connected you will be able to attract many more people from the internet to your Social platforms. This is will heighten your analytics and make things a lot more interesting for you that way.
If you want to know how to make a Facebook Fan Page you can get step by step training in the next video.
Connecting your business to the world of social media hasn’t been easier.
Facebook Fan Pages has a deep wave of tools inside their platforms and it helps you a lot as a business owner. If you get a question from a customer, you can talk through the messenger platform but when you’re finished it will start giving your pop ups so that you can pre-book and allow a follow up conversation. When you book a follow up conversation you will be reminded at the intended time and the meeting/conversation will go ahead. Its great.
Facebook is a free platform and they always will be. I think it’s because they make so much money. But, it terms of being free it also means they are giving you free advertising when you have a profile made with them. The power of being able to have a free audience is just great, and especially when you have your own online business.
If you want to promote your business on social media, it is free by way of sharing your articles to your timelines. You can also share them through messenger. That is free social media marketing and it’s value is out of this world.
Then, there is paid ads, also from Facebook and other social sites. It is not hard to learn how to advertise on Facebook but at the same time, I have never recommended any business spend their hard earned money on ads. If your business is ranked in Google, it just doesn’t make sense to do it. What do you think you’ll see someone different in the Facebook ads than Google? Trust me, you won’t miss anyone. What will happen is you will save money. Google has 4.388 billion people searching online, and that is free. All you need is to know how to drive traffic to your website, and that is done incoherent with Facebook.
Facebook and all social media marketing are only meant for personal and loyal customers, and anyone who adds you or you ad. I mean, if you add someone it means you are growing a close partnership with that person, and it’s not to be messed with. The platform is too small to start blind siding people as if they aren’t there. In saying that, I think that Facebook is only for sharing your posts, creating groups, and joining other groups in your niche. Share your posts for free, but if you want to make money then go to Google with your online business, don’t start paying for Facebook ads when many people are not even close to that type of sphere. Social ads are not just for anything. Like, if you have an urgent sale, then thats what its for, but I wouldn’t even do it. I just don’t agree with wasting money.
