OpenTable: Restaurant Rewards Program (Scam or Legit?)

OpenTable Review

OpenTable restaurant reservations is a chance for people to gain points for dining. This is a way for OpenTable to make some extra cash by partnering with certain restaurants.

I guess this will draw people who enjoy going out for dinner? But what about when you have a lot of money? Would you still bother with earning these points?

This is the same as all other retail rewards offers. If you choose to use them, they will reward you with points. But it goes around in a circle, instead of withdrawing they will make you also spend the rewards at partnered stores.

I’ve been doing these reviews for a long time now and can pretty suggest that you opt out of them. Don’t bother.

If you are trying to make some extra cash and can’t seem to find any possible options, you’re at the right site. Check this out: $40K in 4 Hours! Craziest Night Ever!. This is another opportunity for you to earn.

The OpenTable reviews I’ve read say the reward gig is OK, but I have another view on it. Keep reading to find out!

What Is OpenTable?

OpenTable is a website where people can book restaurants and earn points.

It’s as simple as that.

When I looked at the website, I found the whole site (including multiple pages) revealing how people who wish to join, can secure many advantages when booking restaurants from them.

OpenTable: Restaurant Rewards Program (Scam or Legit?)

After I did my research, I found OpenTable does a have a rewards program. However, it’s only one choice – Restaurant bookings.

It does not pay you to bring your friends, which I think is really unfair.

However, keep in mind, when trying to work out whether it’s a good gig or not, on Google Play, OpenTable has a 4.7-Star Rating with over 5M+ Downloads. This makes them a valued company, but my experience was a little different.

How Does Product Work?

To get started with OpenTable, you need to have a computer and internet connection. Then, begin by signing up and then login to your account.

OpenTable is available in a few different countries, such as –

  • Japan
  • Germany
  • Spain
  • Canada
  • Hong Kong
  • Ireland
  • Singapore
  • Netherlands
  • Mexico
  • United Kingdom
  • United States
  • Australia
  • Thailand
  • Italy

But to join them on the basis of earning points, it is only open to US, UK, Northern Ireland, Canada, Germany, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.

If you want to use it on mobile, it offers a Google Play and Apple Store app. You can use the app to quickly book restaurants and earn points.

When you earn enough points you can use them to purchase alternative rewards such as hotel discounts, magazine subscriptions, restaurant discounts, among others.

Members can also use their points depending on what country they live in. For example, Australia offers Amazon gift cards in exchange for your points. Canada offers dining checks. Germany offers Amazon gift cards. Japan offers Visa gift cards. United Kingdom offers dining checks. United States offers rewards for dining, Amazon gift cards, Hotel stays, and magazine subscriptions.

While I was looking at the site, I noticed it has an affiliate program link at the bottom of the website. However, when I click this, it doesn’t showcase what you will earn for doing it. I’m just guessing that you can bring people for free!

Is OpenTable a real and honest way to earn money online? Average. I have never heard of this type of way to earn points before.

Does OpenTable have support? No. It is very hard to get OpenTable Customer Service. If you want to ask them a question, don’t bother using their contact link on the website. Just use their Facebook Fan Page, which is right next to the contact link.

Does OpenTable have any bad reviews? Yes. There are numbers of bad reviews, ranging from no restaurant confirmation coming through to not being able to log in to the website. This is what I was seeing also.

Does OpenTable have an app? Yes. Members can use it on both Android and Google Play.

Would you recommend OpenTable to a friend or relative? No. In my eyes, it doesn’t offer any real incentives, and the website is hard to use. To get an OpenTable Voucher is just not worth all the confusion that the site offers.

How much are OpenTable points worth? A $50 Amazon gift card will cost around 5000 points, the payment threshold is going to be different for each person depending on where they live.

Alternatives

If you’re somebody who enjoys eating out, then you’ll definitely want some OpenTable alternatives to choose from.

When I did a Google search there honestly wasn’t many blogs showing a lot of these types of opportunities.

However, I did find Competitors & Similar Sites for OpenTable.

There could be many different reasons people want to earn points for dining out.

The reason I believe is because they don’t have enough money and believe that if they can earn rewards, then they don’t really pay as much.

If this is you, then come and check out how our trainees are able to make money every single month by running their own affiliate business.

Conclusion

Now that we have been through some/if not all of what OpenTable has to offer, what resonates with you? Is OpenTable a scam or legit?

It’s meant to be a good thing to receive an OpenTable point, but to me, the whole thing very hard to see. They make their website with way too much information and then when you just want to ask a simple question, it offers even more confusing pages. I don’t want to read an article when searching for answers to my questions about your company.

If you were making millions of dollars, then this gig wouldn’t really matter to you! I don’t know why the founders don’t think like this?
