Hey, everybody and how is it going? I’m making this guide so that whoever feels that they still do sport the need for the top AirBrush sets (Spray guns) then they can come and read this in depth guide and learn more first.
An AirBrush paint sprayer set is simply a gun that which is specialized so that very fine pieces of paint sprays out without going everywhere. If you tried using a normal airbrush while trying to paint a painting is wouldn’t work, the paint would go everywhere.
These special AirBrushes are usually kept inside a studio where the painter paints. They contain a variety of paints such as:
- Ceramic Glaze
- Metal Patinas
These special spray guns are not strictly kept to only painting art work. They can also paint murals, metal surfaces, automotive, large canvases, and signs. If you are good at drawing and want to take your painting to the next level, or must I mention you don’t know how to paint yet but want to start; I recommend going through this list and checking all the brushes that I expose. In this sense you will be able to choose something that you can buy and use at home.
Normally, if you were to shop around for these types of AirBrush you would need to check out your local art supply store. But be warned, this can become very expensive. This is the reason for the internet being so powerful because you can buy these tools for next to nothing and have them delivered straight to your door. The reason why this post is the next handiest thing you need is because it has the guns listed out with pictures, information, and links to the store where you can read, make a choice, and then make your purchase. Use the internet is all circumstances it does pay.
There are two types of AirBrush which can be found basically everywhere when you shop and they are: the conventional spray gun, and HVLP which stands for High Volume Low Pressure. The HVLP spray gun was newly designed so that when painting you don’t spill as much paint everywhere (lowering the overspray).
When buying a new gun whether to start painting or to learn about painting, there’s a two terms that you need to know. The first term is PSI which stands for Pounds Per Square Inch. This abbreviation stands for knowing how much pressure is being delivered when shooting the pump. You need to know this term because depending on what type of fine art you are painting will depend on what gun you choose. The normal source of air delivered to the gun is normally through an air compressor.
The second meaning that you should know when choosing or looking for a new gun is called CFM. This abbreviation stands for Cubic Feet Per Minute. This is referring to the volume of air that is being consumed by the AirBrush. This is important to know because it shows you how much you need to allow for when choosing a source to pump air.
The higher the horsepower the higher CFM and I’ll tell you why now. Both of these settings are governed by the air source. The Psi is modified by the air regulator and the volume of air is determined by the size of the compressor.
As good as this gun looks it costs. In other words it is not cheap to make claim to if you wanted to purchase it (in stores only).
This two in one gun comes with a triple chrome hypo-allergenic coating which is why you can see so much chrome. What I like the most about it is that the quality of the build is second to none. Unless we see another gun that looks like this, I’m thinking it’s going to be the best looking one here.
This tool is perfect for painting really small objects or normal sized as it has a larger needle at the same time.
This piece isn’t as mainstream as what you would like so incase you are wondering how widely used it is then now you know, and the reason why this is that people just have other guns that they like to use more.
The nozzle on this gun sits at 0.15mm and 0.4mm. Incase you were wondering what it comes in, it has a full case that it’s fully packaged in which will be delivered out to you like.
2. Iwata HP-CS
This is a first choice for some, but I wanted to narrow it down to number 2 on this list. The Eclipse Series has part of it’s base promo gravity feed and dual action. This brush is also widely known for it’s versatility which makes it an all round favorite.
Because it has a high flow, it allows it to reduce a wide range of liquids first with less reducing or thinning. For a lot of painters it is important to control where the spray is going more than others. So to get a fine line among others, you need a broader spray range which this one does have. And this isn’t like other brushes. Because of this broad spray range you can control a wide spray without wrecking special pieces.
If you are a keen color mixer, this will be what makes you jump. It sports a 0.24 oz/ 7 ml fluid cups with a lid. When the cleaning time comes you can make sure the job is done right with an exclusive compression fit nozzle that is easy to allow cleaning and disassemble. Just pull it off and the cleaning is easy. To empty the paint reservoir for cleaning it has a quick flush cutaway handle so you can get an even easier access to the handle.
Because the spring-steel needle is break resistant you won’t need to stress over it’s durability. The needle packages are also made strong with solvent materials.
This gun is the Iwata-Medea Revolution CR. It is nearly the same as the one up top. Instead of being the same as the one above this is better for model work and things like that. It sports a 1/3 oz gravity-feed cups with a bigger 0.5mm needle and nozzle. Because it has a bigger nozzle it means you will be able to paint with heavier pants without causing too much mess. In turn, this makes it especially better for beginners.
Although it’s good for first triers it’s also professionals favorite. It sports a dual-action internal-mix and gravity-feed design. The price is good, but again you find anywhere cheaper than this website only.
This brush is powerful for anyone who wants to try it. Just remember to keep in mind that it is not as flimsy as the Iwata eclipse.
If you are looking for total control than you want to go for the one above as this does have a larger cup. If you are wanting to get more done and work with larger frameworks than this is what you want as it does have a larger cup meaning you can cover more paint area.
This brush is truly versatile, you are good to go with areas of paint such as Gundam Modeling, Makeup, Camouflage, and more. The combination is going to allow you to also truly find what you free hand is when it comes to detail. Doesn’t matter whether you aim for fine details (1-2/2″) or wide this has you covered.
This brush is an all round great brush for people who don’t want to splash out a ton of cash. Its also good for beginners as it has a single action funnel which is for large amounts of painting. In that sense it’s also good for professionals who want and need to get their work done fast (repetitive work loads).
If you are looking for a brush to do large paint jobs then this is something that will definitely get the job done. To keep it clean at the same time it also has a siphon feed, which makes it easier to get all cleaned up.
This brush is not good for small and detailed paint prices. Although you can get some done there are better for that. The only size this is good for our 1/16 to 1.5 inches, which is not all that large.
You will need to find your own spare parts like air compressor because this does not come with one. I’m thinking you will either have one or want to buy one here as well. If you check out this post, you will go straight to another guide which has a whole list.
There are many tools out in this world that you can buy there’s nothing better than American. I mean, I live in Australia, and even they post all American AirBrush sprayer sets and tools so what does that say.
As I have mentioned that they are all good for beginners this is especially good. This is an entry-level tool that anyone looking to upgrade their work and paint loads will be done by. If your looking to start now, I would recommend either this one or the Iwata HP-CS which is at the top of the list.
This gun is able to paint very slim lines to a 1-1/4 inch spray. There is something that all pros love and that is the double action trigger. Even though professionals love them beginners would take a liking straight away in that sense as well.
Again with the gravity feed, it makes it a wonderful tool to use up all your paint and stay in touch with your paint jobs. This type is also pretty easy to keep clean so in that charisma you won’t have an awful time cleaning it if that’s what you’re looking for as well.
It also comes with three head sizes. With it’s AirBrush-style air cap it can also be used as a mini spray gun. You can use a 3″ pattern all the way down to an ultra-fine line that which is best for detailed projects.
